Ans : Begum Rokeya is a leading feminist writer and social worker in undivided Bengal during the early 20th century. This great woman was born in a zaminder family in Rangpur. She established the first school mainly for Muslims girls. She wrote short stories and novels. Her important books are Sultana’s Dream and Padmarag. She died of heart problems on December 9, 1932. In Bangladesh, we celebrate 1st december as Rokeya day.
