ans : Shamima is working for the helpless women because she wants to make them feel useful. She wants them to live with self-respect and diginity.
   
3. Read the following text and fill in the gaps with appropriate words.

Human beings conquered the distance on earth by discovering wheels. They (a) endeavored further. They on December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers in America made the first experiment of flying in a plane. In the experiment, a machine carried a man and (b) rose above its own power. Read the passage carefully and then answer the question 4 and 5.
The graph shows that the highest percentage of death occurs in Bangladesh and England as a result of heart attack. It is 12% in Bangladesh and 20% in England. In Bangladesh, death rate relating to diabetes is also high (10%) although the disease can be controlled. But in England, it is only 1%. Death from cancer is also high in Bangladesh (12%) whereas it is only 2% in England. Bangladesh has a higher infant mortality rate (5%) that of England (0.5%).Traffic accident causes 6% death rate while it is 0.5% in England. The death rate for tuberculosis in Bangladesh is 7%. But there is no death in England and for that case the rate is 0%.
