Community Bank Bangladesh PLC is set to launch a "Dedicated Service Desk for Bangladesh Police" simultaneously across all of its branches and sub-branches nationwide on May 12, 2025. The national rollout will be inaugurated from the Bank’s Dhanmondi Branch, marking a milestone in Community Bank’s ongoing commitment to serving those who serve the nation.

The initiative is designed to ensure priority banking services for all members of Bangladesh Police, acknowledging their invaluable role in the bank’s growth. Bangladesh Police members currently contribute approximately 50% of the Bank’s deposits and loan portfolio.

The launching ceremony at Dhanmondi Branch was graced by Mr. Ahmad Muyeed, Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police and Director of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, as the Chief Guest.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Mr. Muyeed stated:

“This is a proud moment for both the Bank and the police force. The Dedicated Service Desk reflects the Bank’s respect for its roots and its commitment to service excellence for the very people who have always safeguarded the country. Every police member can now walk into any branch knowing that a dedicated desk awaits them.”

Mr. Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge), Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, attended the event as the Special Guest.

Mr. Saddat commented: “The police force is not just a customer segment for us—it is the very foundation of Community Bank. This initiative ensures that every police member knows they have a special place in our branches, with a dedicated officer and process to serve them promptly, respectfully, and effectively.”

The Dedicated Service Desk will offer:

- Full support on account services, loans, deposits, and card-related issues

- Priority handling of cash transactions through dedicated tellers

- Logging of unresolved requests into a central service database

- Follow-up through outbound calls from branches or call centers

- Regular awareness and advisory on police-specific products and services

Each desk will have a designated officer trained to handle police member queries. If services cannot be provided on the spot, they will be formally logged, tracked, and resolved. Branches with high volumes will be backed by call center support to ensure timely responses.

This national initiative reaffirms Community Bank's position as “The Trusted Bank of Bangladesh Police”, aiming to simplify banking for police members across the country
